TakingITGlobal is a globally recognized organization dedicated to empowering youth to understand and act on the world’s greatest challenges. With a strong presence across Canada and internationally, TakingITGlobal has engaged hundreds of thousands of young people through education, civic engagement, and digital innovation initiatives, often in partnership with leading institutions and government bodies.

Illuminate Universe is a global education and leadership platform that has supported over 20,000+ learners across 100+ partnerships spanning government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. With roots in experiential learning and innovation, Illuminate designs programs that integrate real-world projects, mentorship, and accredited learning pathways to equip the next generation of leaders with both vision and execution capability.

Dress For Good is distributing 600 dresses around the world to our scholars.

Step 1

Applicants apply by filling out the application form and a member of our team will be in touch if your application is selected for further consideration. Applicants will attend an interview, either in-person or virtually, with members of our scholarship committee.

Step 2

Successful scholars will be invited to one of our in-person summits where they will receive the dress of their choice, a $50 CAD gift card for mental health or leadership development purposes, and a full-ride scholarship to our partner's AI & Financial Literacy OSSD Credit program or career mentorship program.

Step 3

Scholars may nominate 3 applicants within their own network each year. All scholars will have continued access to our global community of mentors and career and leadership development resources.

Join Us to Celebrate and Fund Essential Programs That Transform Lives and Create Lasting Impact

More than just dresses, this initiative is designed as a transformative learning experience grounded in experiential education. Each cohort welcomes 100 scholars from around the world, selected to participate in a journey that combines confidence, capability, and community.

Scholars receive a dress of their choice for prom season alongside access to a fully sponsored Ontario Grade 12 (OSSD) credit experience. Through this academic and project-based component, scholars develop and present an AI or Financial Literacy initiative, building a portfolio that reflects both intellectual depth and real-world application.

Participants are also invited to attend leadership summits hosted in cities around the world, and are matched with mentors from leading global institutions, including Fortune 100 companies and Ivy League networks.

Beyond the program, scholars join a lifelong community with continued access to learning resources, career opportunities, and peers committed to growth, leadership, and meaningful impact.
